Get Fit Revolution

This morning I had some "downtime" and was reflecting back on the critical impact and positive roles my parents have had in my life.

If you think about it, we interact with so many people and see relationships grow and fade as life moves on.

But virtually no relationships create who we are like the relationships with our parents.

Any time I've been astray and confused about a path to take, I've always looked back at what my folks would do.

While I've learned different lessons and different strengths from each of them, whenever I followed their model, I was in good hands.

When I think of my Mom, thoughts often go back to a time I don't remember, but one that I've only heard about and seen pictures of...

I was born with serious health complications. Complications that would've easily taken my life in an earlier era without the same level of medical science.

As my Mom as told me, the child that was next to me in the hospital didn't make it.

And there was the time that I was given the thumbs up to go home. And a few hours after being at home, I started turning blue, but somehow I pulled back out of it and was off to the hospital again.

I have often wondered how my folks did it. My dad was only 24 and my mom only 22. Just married... and dealing with that type of stress.

I have no memories of that time... only surgical scars that still stand out on my body. But as I reflect back on the little my folks have shared with me about that time, my mother's love stands out.

I've included some pictures to share below.

I invite you to share your own stories about your mom by posting to this blog.

Lastly, I've also put together a special program tied into celebrating Mother's Day. I haven't done something like this in the last three years. You can get all the info here.

Tied in with my thoughts about Mother's Day, I've decided to do a special 21-day "Great Moms, Fit Moms" special offering. For mothers only - you will meet with me three times in a small-group setting at our private studio and get crystal clear about your own fitness program. It's the first time in three years I've done anything remotely similar to this and it will be a lot of fun. You can get all the details at:Great Mom, Fit Mom Special Program
